I have imported the employee IIF but nothing is showing up. I successfully imported the customers, suppliers didn't work, but really need to get the employees imported.

Yes I did - absolutely nothing came across from the old Reckon Hosted file

Sorry but I don't understand the import file in Notepad. Just loads of numbers and text. Looks like I'll have to do it all manually. I don't really want past employees anyway.

Well I have found out a bit of what has happened. There is a large list of "blank" employees with no details and my imported employees are right at the bottom. However, when I try to delete the "blank" lines (literally there is nothing there), the system tells me I can't deleted because it is used as a sales rep. I cannot delete from the sales rep because it is an employee.  HELP

I also now have a sales rep list of about 2000 names! I have to delete them one by one. I actually think it would be easier to just delete the whole data file and start again!  What a disaster.

Not a job for the faint hearted Wendy... always good to open the files in excel before importing -especially when starting a new file - and getting rid of dead wood that you dont want to bring through to the new file... I agree easier to start again - create the new file - remember to choose NO specific entity type and NO chart of accounts... then use Excel to review/edit your import data before importing... Take a backup before each import - in case something goes wrong and you want to go back a step..
