Inactive bank accounts showing in drop down menu in cheque register

When opening the cheque register it is showing an inactive bank account by default as it has the lowest account code number.  When using the select account drop down menu it is only showing active accounts.  Is there a way to stop it defaulting to the inactive account?

    yes, I presume account code number is you are have account numbers turned on, change the account number to it is after the accounts you want first in the drop down list.  

    Personally the account numbers are a pain I have them turned off and my chart of accounts are set up alphabetically, all you need to do is press the key corresponding with the account you are looking for i.e  'p' payroll 'a' advertising 'b' bus.bank
