Installing POS at remote area what happen and how it work?

POS lite 2015

I was just wondering how does POS work? 

From my understanding, we need to install POS administrator and POS terminal in the same computer which already installed Reckon Accounts, so that every transaction made with terminal will be link to the QBPOS data base which was create when you link your POS to reckon. 

So do I just install the POS administrator and terminal to a computer and bring to the pub where it will be use? Then remotely access the file at the pub? But I am afraid that the manager there is an old lady who is not so good with computer and stuff so how do I manage the file? Do I just access the file remotely to enter bill and stuff then doing BAS with the original file at the pub? But I don't want to do that cause if something happen like someone accidentally delete the file, then do I be able to keep the file at the office and link it to the computer at the pub? How does that work?  

What do you think is the best option/actions/steps to handle this situation?

    Hi Andrew,

    I am not quite understand about the network connection between two sites, is it to set up VPN to connect two computers over internet? I will have to ask the IT guy when he coming over. 

    Yes I only have on pub/site.

    All items from the pub will be added to RA , like what we sell there etc.

    The previous lady in charge bought two licenses which I think is a waste I am thinking of returning one. 

    I would like to clarify something.

    Option 1:

    So the pub haven't got any computer, then when I bring a computer there they need to have POS terminal in it (computer 1) and another computer at my office need to have POS administrator and POS terminal (computer 2). Then (computer 1) and (2) will connect via VPN what ever sell in (2) will be record to (1) via VPN? 

    Option 2:

    The IT guy was here early this morning and he was saying this to me. I need to set up POS admin and terminal in a computer with reckon account and link with the pub file, which I use at the moment to record everything from the pub, then bring it to the pub. Then every morning I will have to remote access to download the file which record transaction for the preceding day. 

    So which options are you using Andrew?
