Ok one question will it work with bar code scanner for small grocery business??

Hi Kwikbooks,
Yes, Reckon Cloud POS should work with any barcode scanner. You just need to ensure that the barcode is entered in the format which the scanner can read ie. numerals only in the barcode.

a suitable-work-around (Reckon tradition) -may be to  create a discount or department key for this purpose.

At the moment we run the older Reckon POS with 3 price levels for each item.
Are we able to do the same with Cloud POS

Hi Mark,
Thanks for asking this. Yes this functionality is available in the more established desktop version of POS and while not yet there in the newer Cloud POS solution, we're looking at building it further based on user feedback. Would be great if you could add this as a suggestion in the Reckon Ideas portal

Hi,
I'm trying to import items into Cloud POS and there is no Import button under the Inventory Tab.  I have the trial version if that makes any difference.

Hi Jake,

Thank you for your post.

You won't see Import button if you've linked your Reckon Cloud POS store with Reckon Accounts Hosted. To get latest data from Hosted after you've connected, you can do a "sync" by following the below steps:

  1. Go to Management System > PREFERENCES > Accounting Software
  2. Click on the settings icon next to "Yes" toggle and click on "Sync"
  3. Remember, it will update your current On hand amounts (Quantity) to what your Hosted data file has


If you haven't connected to Reckon Accounts Hosted and still can't see the Import button, then please share your screenshot with us.

Can you tell me if we set up a number of departments do they all work of the same inventory or do we have to have inventory to each department. thanks Mark

You can assign an item to multiple categories or just one, your choice.
