Hi, I have a lot of items to upload in Reckon Accounts Hosted for my inventory. I have set up the spreadsheet with column titles the same as what I fill out in the Edit Item section. 79 uploaded fine and 1100 said they had errors but no idea what the errors are and couldn't save the error list so I could look at it. Please help. I have been manually adding in the inventory and have no found out there has been a price increase. I would really like to get this to work. Please Help!

I'm not sure what other info to provide

If you have some items already in your file... go to File - Utilities - Export - iif files - and select Item List... save this file in your B drive (call it items.iif)... Now use the toolbox to download this .iif file and then open the file with Excel (you need to look for ALL files when using Excel - Open function)  - now you can see the format of how the import file is created - follow along from the examples in the file to create your additional items and amend your pricing... then upload the file via the toolbox... it will go to an Uploads folder on Q drive... now in Reckon select File - Utilities - Import - iif files and go to the Upload folder and import the items.iif file.

    Hi Samantha

It looks as if you are using Excel to upload.

If you need to upload the stock on hand values, you will also need to include a column "As At" equal to 30/06/2019 otherwise your opening values will enter at today's date.  Having so many items reject suggests that one of the key fields has an incorrect value, or you may have an incorrect taxcode (eg GST as a Purchase Taxcode rather than NCG).

If you send me the file, I will have a quick look at it and see if I can see the main issue.

I had to start a new Reckon company file from 1st April as our General Manager purchased the business.

I imported my item list & then through the Item List Activities - Adjust Quantity/Value on Hand entered the Qty of each item, These adjustments were dated 01 April 2021, the adjustment account was Opening Stock & the Value Adjustment Box was ticked.

Is this a correct option to enter our inventory?

    Hi guys,

I have an item management tool that will help you to easily maintain your item list in Reckon (both RAH and Desktop).

It has the following main features:

    • Batch update/insert items
    • Inline item editing (grid edit style) so you don't have to open each item in Reckon to edit a field
    • Custom field inline editing, batch updating
    • Import/export to excel (with search filter), come handy when you want to update price/cost based on a specific condition (ie, price changes from a vendor)
    • Custom price batch editing
    • Can be customized to integrate with any WMS or shopping cart/eCommerce site (ie, update qty/stock info from Reckon to your site -> no more back order)

It can be also customized to work exactly the way you want.

For more info please contact me.

    Thanks,
