Larissa.

You just use the Android BROWSER, as you would use a browser on the desktop, to reach HOSTED.

Here's all the combinations:  http://www.alchester.com.au/reckon-installation-specifications-overview/

Hi there Larissa,

We have dedicated apps for Reckon One and Reckon Invoices at this stage -
https://play.google.com/store/apps/developer?id=Reckon%20Limited&hl=en

You can however access Accounts Hosted from your Android phone/tablet browser as you would on a desktop PC

Cheers
Rav

Are we getting any closer to getting hosted to run on Samsung android devices?
1.  a) What  BRAND of TABLET, and
     b) what Android Operating system versions are each of you running,
    that is presenting the problem?

(go to Settings, and system details, versions of software.)
TIP:       Here;s a list of all the known versions  v1.5 thru v6.0.1 so far:
                    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Android_version_history

2.  Which BROWSER are you running on the Android?   Make/version?

3.  Try downloading and running the Mozilla Firefox BROWSER APP from Google PLAY:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.mozilla.firefox&hl=en

OR   the Google CHROME Browser APP from:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.android.chrome&hl=en

4.  Then run either of the above alternative BROWSERS to try logging onto HOSTED.

Let's know the outcome, and we'll add the tips to the overall set of known solutions documented at:  http://www.alchester.com.au/reckon-installation-specifications-overview/

Thanks for any feedback,  and good luck with these suggestions.

Samsung  S7 -II can log on to accounts hosted but when I try to launch the app I just get the red dots and eventually it goes back to the launch screen again. The same with the Samsung browser, Chrome or Firefox. Have similar problems with the Samsung galaxy tablet the keyboard doesn't come up so I can't sigh into the App. Very frustrating.
Yes, gone through this , my self. What functionalities are you trying to access?

Hi Mate, I am trying to run the Reckon Accounts Hosted application on two Samsung Android devices (works fine on all of my PCs). I can log on to the Hosted site no problem on either Android. then I have the choice of going to Control Panel or Launch Reckon Accounts Hosted. On the Samsung S7 it goes to the black screen displays the red dots and after a while it goes back to the previous page where I choose either Control Panel or Launch Reckon Accounts Hosted and it's stuck in that loop. On the Samsung Tab2 I get to launch the Reckon Accounts Hosted but the keyboard never comes up so I can't put in the password. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Could not get past the red dot stage with the built in Samsung browser on the tablet but by using chrome I was able to get past the red dots and to the point of entering a password. The touchscreen allowed to show the screen keyboard but it would not enter a password. So I got a Bluetooth keyboard and was able to complete the log on process and use the application. I hope that this helps someone else. Now I will go back to seeing if I can get the S7 going.

Hi George,

Welcome to the Reckon Community.

The experience of the Samsung keyboard with Hosted has not been a satisfying one, particularly with older models.  Other users have resolved this issue by downloading the Chrome keyboard.

Also, as you have made several attempts to log on, please go to Control Panel > Log Off Remote Sessions and if an attempt did succeed on the the network but not communicated back to your tablet, log it off as it will prevent you logging in again.

Hope to see you accessing soon.

regards,
John

I've been trying for years to log on on my android phone with all browsers, I contacted Reckon but no solution, except try other browsers or blame the device or OS, I have nexus 6P with the latest Android OS, I think I am being conned, I have tried again today but flips back to the launch screen as it always has. I am about to move to QuickBooks if it works.
