Is Reckon Accounts Personal 2015.exe really 900MB? Really?

    The finished program for Personal Plus ended up at 95Mb installed plus 21Mb for Home Inventory.

    The 900Mb seems to be the entire Install DVD for all versions of the product including old ones. This unpacks to 1.2Gb in over 4,000 files in 2,500 odd folders!

    I love the product itself but whoever is in charge of the installation process and packaging needs to be shot. Such a convoluted process with such a wasteful download. A particular bugbear is that you need to manually uninstall the old version before installing the new one. Surely the install script can take care of that.
    And the issues with getting Home Inventory installed and working again defy all logic.

    Maybe I'll wait a few days and see if they improve the experience before I download!
