Can you process Direct Debits like Credit Cards in Reckon Accounts?

Client operates childcare services and wants to set up an automatic Direct Debit for the parents. (I'm assuming the amount may not be consistent and is dependent upon services delivered during a given period)

    Welcome to the Reckon Community, and thank you for your though provoking questions.

    Let me clarify this, your client would like to physically debit the accounts of their customers for childcare fees?

    If this is the case, as direct debits are a bank function, the way I understand it is, it would need be arranged either with the banks or through a direct debit provider with customers consent. And then it would be replicated with entries in Reckon Accounts, with Reckon Accounts 2014 live bank feed feature, those transactions would feed automatically into the Banking Centre on RA2014.

    As a Accounting Package, we are unable to make debit transactions; we are though, able to process Credit Card payments as you have mentioned above.

    the banl will charge you about .25 cent per each transcations compared to giving to oustside providers , they charge .88 cent to 1.45cent.
