Issues during Company Clean Up

Hi, our company file has been in use for several years and the company file is approx 500mb.  I regularly backup and rebuild the company file to incorporate the tlg file.  This works fine.  Yesterday I attempted to Clean Up the company file and am archiving anything beyond 2 years old.  I am using Reckon Accounts Premier 2015

The verify and clean up process seemed to work fine and I have attempted to open the company file for the first time and the screen is stalled on the 'Loading Data' screen and has been for over 2 hours now.  The tlg file, which was 192kb prior to the cleanup, is steadily growing and is now over 650mb.

Is this normal? I dont know if I should let this run or kill it and restore the backup.  Please any advise.  Thank you, Daniel

    Further to this, the tlg got up to 800mb and the company file opened.  Seems ok so far. I will create a portable copy and then restore it to get it back under control.
