Item Report

I have a client who would like a report on the number of items sold in ReckonOne. There doesn't seem to be a way to do this... Right now they run a number of workshops and the items all go into the Workshops account in the chart of accounts. They want to know how many tickets they have sold for each workshop by looking at items.

Has anyone found a way to do a report on items sold?

I would like to know this too - it seems an obvious report, one that shows the number of each item sold over a given period, but I can't find anything in Reckon One, and no apparent way to export the data either.

Hello Melissa and Lucy,

At this stage there is no direct report for Items.

There are 2 reports you can look at.  In the Customer category there is a Customer Transactions Report.  In the Analytics category there is a Top 10 Income Accounts Report.  You can export both these reports directly to Excel and manipulate them further there.

John

Thanks John, however this will take a lot more work to get the numbers we need, especially when there are a lot of transactions!

Could I add this as a request for the future when you're looking at reports? It would be an incredibly useful one, especially while we are waiting for an inventory module.

we download files that have a common field ie item number. then use look ups to xlink data.

If files are large ie 12 months and data is static we save the files in Excel and refer back to them for analysis rather than re run in Reckon/QB

Use pivot tables also for summary

Thanks Melissa,

Items and Inventory will eventually be introduced into Reckon One.  There is no timetable for its release just yet, but we'll keep the Community informed.

John

Items are already a feature! We can program items to include on invoices... Just not keep inventory.

The information is already in there in Reckon One, it's just how do we get it out?

Adrian thanks for the tip, how did you go about downloading the files? Are you on Reckon One, or Hosted?

A giant dump of invoice contents into a csv or xls file would work too, but I can't see a way to do that either.

Simple old fashion terminology
Database/file on central server inhouse, PC windows clients on network. Guess thats ONE

Run the Reckon reports on console , export as CSV to avoid network traffic and save on sever

Access the saved file(s) xcross network with Excel

Thanks Adrian. You're definitely not on Reckon One - it's all through the web browser, no direct access to the database.

Hi Melissa & Lucy,

Yes, items are there but only on an "information" basis, not on a "dynamic" basis.  That will change when the Inventory module is introduced.  In the meantime if you want direct access to item information then you will need to utilise other fields available on the reports you wish to use - for instance, the Description field.  .

regards,
John
