Hi Everyone, I have just had to reinstall my Quicken Personal plus 2011. I am now being presented with JDR and JCR as a category. Not being an accountant or bookkeeper I have no idea what these symbols mean but the bank and quicken do. Can anyone please help me by explaining them. Thanks in advance, Kathy

Welcome to the Reckon community G&K Elder,

To help you further, a couple of questions:

Do these items appear in your Category list (Tools > Category List)?
During what function are these categories being presented to you?

regards,
John

G'day John, yes to the first question and they are listed on the import from the bank statement but I am unsure as to what they mean. They weren't on the list from my previous installation. Hope this is the info you are looking for

Thanks G & K Elder,

These categories have been created and assigned at some stage by a user on this file.  Perhaps it was a reference on an imported bank statement?  Please refer back to the t bank statement.

It has no impact on the functioning of Reckon Accounts Personal.

regards,
John.

Ok thanks. I haven't had or used them since I bought the program in 2011, so maybe it is something that the bank has done. Between Reckon and  the bank things get renamed every so often.

Hello G & K Elder,

Reckon Accounts can only bring in the information provided by the bank.  The user can modify any information before it is saved to the transaction.

Hope this helps.

regards,
John
