I've created a payslip to pay a jobkeeper top up amount but the PAYG is not calculating. I have checked my payroll settings and it is ticked. Any suggestions on how to fix please?

Is this a separate payment you are doing - is the tax coming up as Nil because it only incorporates the topup amount?

Correct.  It is a separate payment for a top up amount only.  Why would the payg not calculate on a top up only amount?  More importantly, how can I rectify it?

you will need to do some manual calculations - the Paycheque screen isn't a mind reader - and isnt aware that the employee already has had some pay for the period... so if you are creating a new paycheque -
    1. is this a topup for a week or a fortnight?
    2. How much have they already been paid for that week or fortnight?

so for example - if the person is only on the normal tax free threshold and the amount you are topping them up is taking their pay for a fortnight to a total gross of $1500 - then there total tax would be $192... but you need to take into account any tax already deducted from the previous amounts paid and deduct tax on the topup amount that takes them to a total of $192.. as you can see its quite manual - but this is what you need to do if doing a topup pay run outside of the normal pay cycle.

Once you have worked this out - just enter the negative amount required for tax in the PAYG box of the bottom right window of the Paycheque.
