job keeper top up

I usually pay an employee $350 per week but paid $750 to top up in the gross wage as was worried from comments the Allowance didn't show in the portal. Should I do an adjustment for the past few weeks and change this or just process my next pays as $350 gross and $400 Allowance.

Are you using STP?

If so, you need to generate & submit an STP “Update Event” to ensure that the ATO will reimburse you for both fortnights.


You need to edit the Pays to include:


  • the FN01 Allowance (this is a one-off ”notifier” that should go on for April only & does not have a dollar value)
  • the TOPUP Allowance (with the relevant topup amount only) showing separately from the employee’s normal pay Item/amount ($ 350)
