JobKeeper Payments are Payroll Tax exempt in WA so in Payroll Premier should the normal $1,500 amount be set up as an allowance as well as the TOPUP?

Hi Alison
It is best to check with an accountant and this should be considered general advice not specific to your business requirements, however if you needed a salaries and wages item that did not attract State Payroll Tax, it would be best to set it up as a new item.
Remember, even though it may not be state payroll tax liable, superannuation is still payable on salaries and wages and worked hours needs to be recorded as such.0 -
Great, thanks for that Simon, yes I would still record the superannuation and worked hours worked.
