How to fix line errors in accounts - QuickBooks

Hi Edward,
Sounds like the button or key that you use in POS terminal is not set up properly.
Check the Button that you use to process account payments and purchases. Make sure the right Receivable account is selected and that same account is still active in Reckon Accounts Business range (Formerly Quickbooks).If the button or key wasn't set up correctly, and you fix that, and other transactions got posted already. You will need to enter the missed account payments and purchases manually.

where do i check that the Receivable account is correct

Hi Scott,
To check the Receivable account, in POS Terminal, go to Tools > Option > Keyboard > Design Touch keyboard layout. Then double click on the button you use for account payment, the default button is Account Payment. You should be able to see and change the Receivable account there.

There is only 1 account there and nothing happens when i search for a different account. I did this last week and we still get line errors on account payments and purchases

Hi Scott,
Please check in Reckon Accounts (previously Quickbooks) to see if that account is still active.
You can check from List > Chart of accounts.

they seem to be totally random
every thing to be in order re chart of account
