A client's file lost 4 months of information between yesterday and today. What would cause this?

Hey Chris, welcome to the Community. Only thing I can think of is that an older file was opened? (it's quite common see: https://community.reckon.com.au/reckon/topics/upgrade-from-r3-to-r4-has-lost-data). Have your client check how many company files they have in the Q drive. If need be, have then contact tech support to look into it one-on-one.

This happened to some users in NZ earlier this year when we had a our upgrade and reading the comments in last couple of days are having same issues we did.
You have to contact HQ for them to get there files back, they are not lost as such but you do need them to reset there client ID .
Not looking forward to March when the next one is as seems hq don't know how to get the upgrades right still

Hi Mirko,

I have checked their Q Drive and it contains only the one file. What other reason can there be for this laost data. My client is very upset about this and has asked who is going to reimburse him if he has to pay someone to re-enter the data.

Hey Chris, have your client give Hosted tech support a call on 1800 732 566, press 5 followed by 1. They will look into it with him. ^Mirko
