I have a recently restored from backup, everything appears to be working except I've noticed the prices for share and the associated price history is missing. I've tried the following to resolve the problem

* Download quotes.
* Manually Add Quote

When I try to "Edit Price History" all the histor for some shares are blank, additionally If i try to click "New" and add the details manually the information is not saved.

What can I do to resolve this issue, any help would be appreciated.

I'm using ReckonAccount Personal Plus 2013.

    Hi Mark_B,

    Thanks for posting to the Community.

    The price history for securities are stored in a associated file called File name.QPH

    -Close Reckon Accounts Personal Plus 2013

    (You should make a copy of the current File name.QPH from your current Data File location)

    -You then need to copy the File name.QPH from your last known good backup (or backup folder) and paste into the current Data File folder.

    This should have you seeing the old history in no time.

    Jason.

    I have the exact same issue. Two questions Jason - why does this happen? Seems to defeat the purpose if you need to manually work around. Second, I presume you also need to modify the file name so that it gets picked up with the data file you are using?

    Hi Dennis,

    Thanks for the query;

    I don't know the exact reason why it happens and I don't have any more further info on it.

    Mark_B was restoring a backup and had the associated file missing or missing data so it was just a replacement as it's the same file name.

    Dennis, I wouldn't think you would use historical data from one file to another with different names. If you are upgrading data from one year to the next and renaming your file then you would have to rename the historical data file as well.

    Regards,

    Jason.

    I have the same problem with personal Plus 2015 where I have lost all history of market value and quote price. Restore from backup does not help as the history is still missing. I have located the *.QPH file but cannot seem to find a way for PP2015 to recognise it. Please help as I have at least 6 years of history to monitor. Thanks you

    Second year in a row online renewal falls over, corrupting licence file and necessitating a new install. No warnings in online renewal box and as you've discovered support know very little about the real issues.

    I had the same problem last year and after a lot of communication with "support" I determined that this was not going to be fixed and entered in all my data manually. I have looked up the community to find that the same issue may occur for 2015.  Since the last comment is 5 months old, does any know if it has been fixed.  Or am I being forced yet again to enter in my data manually.
