For a comparison of how Reckon Accounts desktop Customer:Jobs can be migrated to Reckon One, view the explanation below.

About Customer:Jobs

--------------------------------

Reckon Accounts desktop and Hosted are able to assign sub-names to Customer records.

If for example your Reckon Accounts data file has four Customer contact names like those shown below

The Red Bike Company

The Red Bike Company:Sydney

The Red Bike Company:Melbourne

The Red Bike Company:Brisbane

The separator character “:” indicates that Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane are “Jobs” or sub-names under the main Customer record named “The Red Bike Company”.

About Projects

-----------------------

Reckon One does not have a similar function of indicating a ‘sub-name’.

To represent sub-names In Reckon One, this would require the a naming structure such as the one below

The Red Bike Company

The Red Bike Company - Sydney

The Red Bike Company - Melbourne

The Red Bike Company - Brisbane

Alternatively these sub-names can instead be added as “Projects” in Reckon One and these projects can be assigned to the main Customer record named “The Red Bike Company”.

Converting the Jobs to Projects will require the addition of the Projects module (Medium level).

If you want to convert the Customer:Jobs to Projects in Reckon One follow the steps below.

Configure the Projects module to Medium level in your Reckon One book
