New Computer. Loaded QB and activated. Finished workload and now cannot Backup. Gets to 55% load and

I have just purchased a new computer and uploaded QB had it activated which was all good but it will not allow me to back up/save my work. It looks to save and gets to 55% every time then stops with a notice saying it cannot backup.

    Hi Rhonda,

    Thank you for the post.

    Sorry to hear that, Few questions:
    - How old is the data file?
    - what version did you use prior to 2014?
    - How often do you backup your data file?
    - where is the data file located? (Server or on you local PC)
    - where are you attempting to backup the file? i.e USB drive or the local C drive

    Possible suggestions:

    Step 1: please ensure there aren't any errors in the data file, attempt a data verification
    click on File->Utilities-> Verify data

    Step 2: Rebuild the data file:
    click on file -> Utilities -> Rebuild

    Step 3: Verify again
    File-> Utilities-> Verify data
