no share price downloads since 10th February

I'm using Reckon Personal Plus 2015, and normally the Australian share prices download fine, but in spite of doing the One-step update several times over the last few days, I've had no prices downloaded since the 9th February 2015. Is this problem affecting other people as well, or only me?

It seems there is currently an issue with the share price download and will escalate this problem to the relevant team asap.  I'll get back to you once I have an update on the status of this.

Feb 19 prices have downloaded, but no prices for 17 + 18 Feb, very poor.  When will this information be available?

In case it helps get this resolved, my share price downloads have been working properly each day. Meaning that not everyone is affected on this occasion. Personal Plus 2015 R1, Win8.1Pro with Media Centre, 64bit, fully up to date with Windows Update. I have not checked all my Securities, just spot checked a few, so there is a chance not all are working?

I have both USA and ASX shares in my Securities List.
I always do the price downloads manually in two steps:
1. Investing | Online Activities | Download Historical Prices | Update Now.
2. Investing | Online Activities | Download Quotes.
Note that after step 2, the onscreen timestamp under Status for Quotes does NOT update (until the next cycle) even though the Download Quotes has worked.

I cannot update ASX share prices for 17 and 18 Feb. This is getting a bit too frequent.

The Share Price Download for AU Share price data seems to be not working again - I have not received updates since 10 July. Price History for US indices does however seem to be being updated.
Please advise.

It worked for a couple of days and now broken again on 18/2. Please try harder to get it permanently fixed.

No result.  This is not good enough.  Reckon is taking money under false pretences as the system is clearly not working.  The old system worked beautifully.  Why did it have to change?

I am having this problem also.  When are you people going to get your act together and fix this problem permanently.  I am sick of all the bugs in this latest release and the total inaction in fixing anything!

This time it is not working for me either. Above I reported it was working for me when not for some others, a few days ago.

Mirko/Shane, What about a permanent fix?
As in 0 outages for at least the next year??
If Reckon reckons that is unreasonable (I don't), please let us know what your target service level actually is. I hope I am not wrong in assuming you do have a (some) defined service level, and that management is aware that the last months have not even been close to meeting it and that they are taking strong action as a result.

Just quick update, the 16th is now available to download, and the 17th should be available this evening by 8pm.  The ongoing issue has been reported and hopefully will be resolved shortly.

Two interesting comments from Shane.  It's now 8.39pm and the 17th prices are not available as promised in the post above, and no subsequent posts  Also, Shane, you noted that  "Thanks for bringing this to our attention, I will report this asap and post when its backup and running.  Sorry for any inconvenience.".

What's the point of posting when it's working again, we will all know this by doing a download.

Also, if you truly sorry for the inconvenience, what recompense are you offering.  At a minimum, average  software companies provide a regular update on action to fix a problem, quality companies provide guaranteed service levels.  What type of company just offers sorrys these days?

I am also now getting 19th but nothing for 17 and 18th.  Will this be fixed or should I resort to manual update for the missing dates.  Not something I would be looking forward to, but would rather tackle this now than be sitting on the edge of my seat for the next couple of weeks waiting for something to happen!

I have just tried to download the prices for the 16th as you suggested and guess what, it still isn't working!!! Reckon needs to seriously get their act together for as I have said before on this forum, they are the worst software company I have ever dealt with and have no customer service.  If your present technicians are not capable of ironing all the bugs out of this program, then they need to hire some that are!

For me, US prices for 17th and ASX prices for 16th have come in, but not ASX for 17th. US was closed 16th, so no prices for that.

Reckon will probably be the last to know. They are so hopeless. Still no word from them. I was thinking of contacting them but they charge $4.95/minute for that and there's no certainty you'll get a proper answer.

Its a question of customer service and ethics. It is unaustralian to charge you for a fault caused by their failure to deliver. You can bring this up to Consumer Affairs if they charged you for it! And you will win the case hand down!

Totally agree, I actually threatened to take the matter of their service(or lack of it!) to Consumer Affairs and they didn't even reply!  The bugs with this latest version of Reckon Personal Plus have gone beyond a joke and nobody there seems to be the slightest bit interested in fixing them.  Apart from this continuing issue with the share prices, I have experienced several cases of the program freezing to the extent of not even being able to close it using ALT-CTRL-DLT and having to shut the computer down.  On one such occasions, I lost all my attachments going back over 10 years.  I got the reply 'Our technicians are working on it' several months ago and despite bringing the matter up several times, nothing has been done.  There is also the issue of losing all your share price history.  As Leif says, if you have a problem, they charge you for the privilege of talking to them and have no guarantee of getting a satisfactory answer.  It would be interesting to see how many other members are totally disgusted with Reckon support and judging by this post, there are many.  Also, do the management at Reckon ever check this Forum?

Does anyone know how to contact the Managing Board of the company that owns Reckon. The managers and employees responsible for this despicable conduct need to be answerable to someone. Can we start a thread on Twitter, Facebook etc Somehow they need to take notice of their customers. Surely Reckon employees are not mushrooms or Zombies?

I agree with Tony. It is bad enough that the update is not working, but it is extremely irritating to find that estimates of when the problem will be fixed are incorrect.
