We have total 5 users using same company file. This issue comes for only one user. He can open when others closed with others he can't open and this error message comes "not a QB data file or its damaged". His QB will get abort if a person open while he is working.

Hey Ahmed, welcome to the Reckon Community and thank you for reaching out to us.

Sounds like that user is having difficulty accessing multi-user mode.

Please try to delete the .nd file (on individual users PC) & have them try again.

If this does not work follow through with the below.

Open QB go to No company open screen. File > Open or Restore Company > Select file (see image below).

You will see a check box 'open file in multiuser mode' ensure this is ticked! (see image below for help)

Let me know how you go!

Check to see if the selected file type is a QB data file type.

    Hi Mirko,

Thank you very much for your quick reply.

Where I can find .ND files on individual PC?

Where ever the file was installed, by default it should be; C:\Program Files (x86)\Intuit\Reckon Accounts 2014.

It doesn't work by deleting .ND file. Our company file is on server shared folder. We are using QB version 2007/2008 on all 5 computers.

Hey Ahmed, if that does not work, try the alternate steps above. Thanks, Mirko.

    Hi Shiham,

Sorry to hear about that,Is the data file located on a server or is it on the pc hard drive?

The .ND file is located at the same location of your data file.

    Data file is on server.
What if I install database server manager 2014? I'm using QB version 2007/2008

Thanks for that information, if you have the latest version of RA 14 yes you can try installing RA database server manager 2014.

However, if you're using the QB 07/08  you may required to follow the steps on the link below http://kb.reckon.com.au//issue_view.asp?ID=390

Please ensure that all users on the network plus QBDataserviceUser17 has full access to the folder where the data file is stored.
