open previous company function not working

Since upgrade 2020 R2 (Accounts Premier: Accountant Edition) the "open previous company" option is not holding data files opened prior to last program shut down. Set Number of Previous Companies is 10. Can this be fixed please?
Windows 10 Pro.

    Hi Maureen.  This problem has been going on for years (since at least 2012/13) and probably before that.  It affects desktop users.  I invariably have this same problem each year.  You can go to this for the solution that I invariably follow:

    However, last year I had somebody from Reckon suggest another way of doing it, but I am still to follow this process for this year.  However, in doing some further research, I found out that I had found a way in which to cater for this some five years ago, which worked - I suspect that I had probably forgotten to do it this way last year.  You can try this fix, that I found to work:

    Thanks for raising the question as I think that I might now have found the shorter way to get this to work.  If not, there is another way which was suggested to me last year by a Reckon employee.

    Thanks so much John for taking the time to reply. I had looked at the old solutions but, having used up to date software for so long, couldn't imagine they were still relevant!! I now have my previous companies appearing in the list & am much less frustrated!
    Note to Reckon - please rectify this "temporary" glitch!!
