pay run rejected but adjustment successful

The last pay run I entered was rejected because ATO business portal was undergoing maintenance. I then submitted an adjustment which was successful. The adjustment is showing up on the ATO business portal without any wages figures. Do I need to submit an original pay run (ie with 0 payments per employee) so the adjustment can be linked to an accepted pay run? OR is it all okay if the adjustment was accepted without an accepted pay run? Thanks!

No, adjustment is not linked to pay run. Both the rejected pay run and the successful adjustment would have been submitted to ATO as an adjustment in Business Portal.

If the adjustment was accurate/complete and went through successfully (albeit without a corresponding pay run) does that mean I do not need to enter any more submissions to the ATO for this pay run?

Great, thanks. I'll give ATO a ring to make sure but it is reassuring to read that, thanks!

You can also ask employee to check income statement in myGov.

Interesting theory Joseph but why on earth would a rejected pay run have ended up magically submitted as an adjustment?

I submitted both the pay run (which was rejected) and then an adjustment (which was accepted)

Not theory but from experience. This is just how the App works.
