PAYG Payment Summary - "is the Employer exempt from FBT under section 57A of the FBTAA 1986? " - Any idea how to get the system to nominate the answer Yes or No? Currently using Accounts Premier

Hi SAS,

Just to be clear, you will only need to nominate Yes or No if the employee(s) have received any FBT. If they haven't, then this does not need to be reported.

If they have, it means editing the tax tracking type of the FBT item. See below:

Selecting the 'Reportable Fringe Benefits' tax tracking type means it will report as 'No' on the payment summary.

Selecting the 'Reportable Fringe Benefits (Tax Exempt)' tax tracking type means it will report as 'Yes' on the payment summary.

Note: the new tax exempt tax tracking type was part of the 2017 tax table update and therefore only available if you have Reckon Accounts 2017.

I hope this helps.

Luke.

I have this working now. Thanks

I have another question though as the Gross Payment type is showing as S. I have looked on the ATO website and can't see any reference to it.

Is this correct?
