HI another payroll issue.

My boss paid me the amount of tax i paid for the year rather than my actual pay. I noticed it straight away and refunded the overpayment back into her account.

I am now trying to reconcile this and not sure how to make an adjustment. I can't enter the amount paid to create an overpayment that I then reverse with my repayment. it wants me to adjust the hours but that throws everything out.

Please help - one step away from closing the quarter.....

Joanna, you'd best do this as two separate payments and run it through a clearing account. The wage and then the overpayment as separate and then deposit back to operating account, not through payroll

I created a payroll item called overpayment with not tax and no super - I then entered the overpayment.
I received the money against it

    Hi Joanna,

It would have been much simpler just to use the transfer funds area (banking drop down menu) to do a simple transfer to a "suspense" account, or an account of your choosing, then transfer it back.

As long as it is in the same month and definitely same quarter and you pop some notes in, that should be fine!

    Kind regards,
