Hi Kerrie,
If this message occurs and the file is not a version 18 data file, then the file has become corrupted. Please restore the latest backup of the data file.
The program also automatically creates backups for you found in C:\QPRollVxx\Backup

Thanks Luke - I will give it ago tonight. However l can't even seem to open it to then be able to restore it.0

Hi Kerrie,
If that is the case, close Payroll Premier and then delete the file called Qcompany.tps located in C:\QPRollVxx\Data
This file remembers the last file that was opened in the program and will try to open it. So by deleting this file, it will prompt you to choose a file to open first. Please select the sample file, then you will be able to restore your backup.

We're having the same problem.
I've deleted the Qcompany.tps and opened the sample file but cannot restore from the last back up. I get a message saying "please update to version 25 first"

Hi Kerrie,
Please close Payroll Premier. Then browse to where your backups are and if it ends in .001 for example, replace the numbers with .QPB instead. When you go to restore you will be able to see the backup there now.
Candice, it sounds like the backup your trying to restore is corrupted or there is a possibility you have skipped a version. I.e. you're were using Payroll 13/14 and then are trying to open the file in 15/16 and skipped the 14/15 edition.
Luke.
