New to Reckon - Help needed :) I am running Reckon 2015 and having problems with clients recieving their invoices, over half are able to open, the other clients can not open at all - one mentioned the file was recieved as a .dat file??? How can I fix this or how can I save the file as a PDF and email seperately? At present I can not do so from File - Save as it is not an option and I do not wish to spend $450 for an upgrade to premium just to be able to PDF an invoice. Your help is much apprecitaed thanks :)

Hi Natalie,

Thank you for your query.

The problem your client is experiencing with the file being received as a .dat file is not something being caused by our program and not something we support. We actually have a knowledge base article which can be found here, that outlines what the problem is and suggestions on how to resolve it.

If you're not wanting to upgrade to Premier or Enterprise which will allow you to create a PDF, you can download a free PDF converter. Once this has been installed, you will need to 'print' the invoice, but when it asks which printer you would like to print from select the PDF converter instead.

I hope this helps.

Luke.
