New Client has RA Small Business 2013 on desktop.  About to update to current version of RA Plus.  Using Windows 8.1.  Recently receiving message on opening or back up.  Message is intermittent 'You do not have sufficient permissions to delete files in the specified folder. To use Reckon Accounts in a multi-user environment, you must have read/write access and create/delete rights to the folder where the company folder is stored. Please ask your system administrator to give you permissions to the specified folder.  Click Help for more Information'. There is no multi user option on this program. I can verify / rebuild and restore data.  Seeking a solution before I upgrade. . or will the upgrade rectify the issue? Clients says issue didn't arise until she took the laptop to a different location and used wi fi.  Could this be caused by an update to anti virus or windows?
Thanks in advance
Marg

Hi Margaret  If you have a backup, what is there to loose by ignoring the message. As with allot of messages, they don't always affect the workings. As you are going from what was Accounting to Plus it should work.

Hi Margaret. I had a client call last week with the same issue. At the time I couldn't find a solution however the client phoned a day later and said she found Windows Defender blocking access. Not sure if this helps you or not.

Hi All and thank you.  Sorry for being late to touch base... new babies in family have disrupted my thinking!! :) I closed the anti virus and re opened. Rebooted and rebuilt / verify again. I wasn't able to ignore the message because it was shutting the program down and when backing up and returning the program to the front page leaving no alternative but to go  through the 'open company option.  All good now and  thanks ifti for the KB
