Personal Plus 2015 closes when doing price update

Since installing Windows 10, the first time I go to price update, Reckon Personal Plus 2015 reports an error and closes the program down.  Up till now, on reopening the program, it updates the prices on the second attempt.  Anyone else experienced this problem?

Hi Carl,

First step, validate and super-validate your file to remove any minor corruptions that could be contributing to this behaviour.

How do you launch the share price update?  There are a number of icons to do it.  Do you get better results if you launch it by Investing > Online Activities > Download quotes?

Thanks for your reply.  I have done as you suggested and validated my file which was ok and downloaded the prices as you suggested and it worked fine.  However, excuse me for being cynical but that is the usual way for Reckon to deal with a problem with a workaround rather than an actual fix.  Yes, I can download the prices and  currency using 2 different actions but what is the point when you have a 'One Step Update' button which has always worked in the past.  I enclose the message that I receive when this error occurs and have submitted 3 reports.

Hi Carl,

Thank you for that information, please note that Reckon 15 is designed to run on windows vista, 7 and 8 not the new windows 10 environment hence the error message.

We are investigating the issue due the major changes in windows 10 to come up with a permanent fix but have you tried running the program in Admin mode?

you can try this by right clicking on the icon and selecting Run as Admin
