Custom icons tab

I just called support 20+ mins on the phone and the man did not understand the simple question of where can I find the back up icon/option that use to be in the icon bar in 2013! I then asked where I now find the find option? Well this was too much for him he has no idea! The phone then dropped out when I started to get upset with his lack of knowledge and repeating myself 6 times....I am so sick of talking to people who cannot understand what we are asking! For the amount we pay each year - this is not good enough! I think we now do back ups from the file menu? and apparently now the find option is control F instead of an icon! Is there somewhere I can go to learn about other changes between 13 and 14? and were we informed that no CD's would be sent this year for the upgrade and that we had to download it? Was an email sent with this on it? Can anyone please help me? I am not happy to ring support only to waste my time.

I have discovered an email in the junk folder about the upgrade being available. As we have always had a CD we did assume we would receive it this way.

I cannot agree with you more Leonie.  I rang for support last night and after a 30 minute wait I finally got someone ( probably the same guy by your description) who knew less about the program than I did.  He kept putting me on hold, I assume to go and ask someone else or read his manual;  his English was atrocious and he was completely useless.  All in all I wasted a hour and I was no wiser at the end of the conversation.

When are companies going to get it??

They only get it when they loose enough customers I am afraid. I know if we ran our business they way they do we would have zero customers in no time!

I will happily investigate into the call/s you made for training and coaching purposes.

With regards to the Icons, the back up button is not a standard icon, it would be a customised Icon.

Reckon Accounts 2014 refreshed the Icons to the standard ones.

The image I've attached below shows the Icon Customization.



Once I hit 'OK' it shows up:

Thank you for your reply, I will have a fiddle it later. Is there a document that describes all the changes and how to use them please?

I am frustrated beyond belief with Reckon and the substandard support. offered.

I was on hold the other night for a total of 50 mins.

its been getting worse for some time and now with having to pay even more money out to use their programs i'm considering going back 20 years to MYOB for my mum and dad small business that can't afford the extra costs.
I have spent many hours waiting for support only to have someone whom can't understand me or knows nothing.
I now use my IT support guy whose getting upto to speed on the programs code.
