Postcode field doesn't hold the postcode

We have been trying on Reckon Accounts Hosted to dump a customer list to sort and do work by postcode.  

We have got the correct postcode in the Postcode Field for the Invoice address but it just "joins" the City and Postcode field together under City and the Potcode field on a custom report is empty.

e.g. we put in Albany in the City code and 0794 in the Postcode field but when you run a report with those fields the City Field shows Albany 0794 and postcode field is empty.  

Reckon if you are reading this I would have thought this is database 101.  Does anyone know a fix other than trying to strip this out in and Excel worksheet.

    I have the same problem in Premier 2016.  In the supplier record if you use the address details button on the supplier and enter the postcode into the postcode field it changes the customer record so that the last address component (city or state) has the post code added to it.  So next time you open the details popup the postcode is empty and the city is "Auckland 1234".  So in my experience it is impossible to populate the post code field from within the tool.

    I spent ages with the .iif  supplier export trying to extract postcode and was blaming poor data quality only to discover that actually it is system design.  As you say Shayne, hard to believe in this century. Glad we are migrating to a better system.
