Did you include a prepopulated dictionary file in RA2014? My dictionary file now seems to have a lot more words in it.

    Trevor

Do you mean that when you save a transaction (eg a Tax Invoice), the "Check spelling on form" window keeps querying words?

If so, this is easily fixed in your Preferences:

    • Click on Edit (Along top toolbar), then on "Preferences" in the dropdown menu
    • Select the "Spelling" category in the left-hand Navigator
    • On the "My Preferences" tab, you can UNTICK "Always check spelling before ...." &/or tick the additional checkboxes for "Ignore words with ..."
    I hope that helps.

    Hi Shaz

No, after updating to 2014 (having gone through 2012, 2012-2013 & 2013) my dictionary file now has words other than what I have added. Until 2014 I had to add every single word to my dictionary - very painful in the initial stages.

    Hi Trevor,

The 2013 edition had an issue, due to our rebranding exercise.  In that version unless you followed the fixes in http://kb.reckon.com.au//issue_view.asp?ID=4969 and http://kb.reckon.com.au//issue_view.asp?ID=4968, Spellchecker checked every word and you did not have access to the words you added to the dictionary.  That issue was resolved in 2014 so you now have the standard dictionary again.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience this rebranding issue has caused you.

    regards,
    John

Yeah that would sound about right John - I wasn't using the spell check initially so probably only started in the 2013 version and had to add every word - all good though. At least I have it now and now with this community these issues will get highlighted and the fix can be implemented.
