Problem with STP: incorrect error message when sending PayRuns to ATO.

When I send A Pay Run with  STP to the ATO, the following error message appears: "TFN must be a valid TFN". Needless to say I have checked the TFN of my 2 employees and they are correct. Also when checking on the ATO site, the pay run has gone through. (Confirmed by ringing the ATO.) .... although STP says the pay run has been declined.

When recently there was an update of STP, downloading the new update did not eliminate this quirk in the program.

Can anyone help me correct this reoccurring problem? If not, can it be ignored,  or for example, could  there be consequences at the end of the financial year?

Ask employee to log into their MyGov online account to double check:
a) their TFN and
b) their income statements amounts where you can check if the YTD figures are correct for gross, tax and super
