Hi there, I have purchased some shares from commsec and need to record them in Reckon Hosted but don't know where to start.  Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

I would start by not using Reckon Accounts to manage your shares. You can do it but it's messy. Reckon Personal Plus is a much better option. I use it myself.

Thanks Kevin, tbh I hadn't even given any thought to ongoing management - I'm still at the "where does the outgoing expenditure go".

Hi Jackie You can try setting them up as inventory items so you can buy and sell them. It's not ideal but it should give you the basics. Will you be claiming input tax credits for GST?

I hadn't planned to.  They are a long-term investment strategy, we are not planning to trade them (at least not on a regular basis).
