Rebuild data with each backup

HI.. we have Reckon Accounts Premier: Accounting Edition 2017, desktop version, 5 user licence.

Every time I backup the file, QB needs me to do a rebuild of the data.

The company file is 315Mb and the TLG file is only 32Mb.

This wasn't happening last year, and I am wondering if this is a sign that I should be concerned about?

It is set to do a full verification each backup.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Kelle

After a rebuild it gives an error message about duplicate list elements. When I view the log it says:

05/10 13:44:35. A database server with that name has already started

Hi ... The log files says this:  A database server with that name has already started

There is only one log file and so it has this line repeated a few times.  What does it mean?  Our file is located on a server and we access the file (mulit-user) from our desktop pcs.

This issue hasn't been always there, thus my concern.

    Thanks  :)

    Hello Bronwyn,

Please have a look at KB5575 for a guide to correct this issue.

Reckon Accounts cannot function properly if there are two List items with the same name.  You need to identify the duplicates and rename them.

Rebuild will not fix an issue like this one.

    regards,
    John.
