Hi. If I create a split transaction say for Electricity $70 and then change the amount to $40 and want to create another transaction for (say) Gas $30 on the second line, the second line category stays the same as the first line and won't change without a good deal of manipulating.

I have been having this problem with the 2014 version as well as the 2015 version, my work around was to create the scheduled bill payment with all potential catagories entered and then at the time of reconciling delete the unwanted catagories, saves heaps of time once setup.1

Thanks Derek. These aren't part of a scheduled transaction but you've given me a thought which seems to work. Put in the categories and when that's done, fill in the amounts. Cheers John
