Reckon Accounts 2016 - Important Alert - Updated 6/5/2016
Following the release of Reckon Accounts 2016, it's come to our attention that there is an issue that can occur after upgrade when you add a new employee.
Please do not add a new employee with their default information filled out and follow these important steps outlined in this document.
These steps can be performed either before upgrading or after upgrading, prior to adding any employees.
If you have already added employees with the default Super details, then your file may have a corruption issue. You will need to restore a backup from prior to creating the employee and remove the Super details, before re-entering any employee information.
This issue only affects Accounts Plus, Premier and Enterprise. If you do not have any Super entries during the upgrade, then your file is not affected by this issue.
Our development team is currently working on this issue.
Click here to follow these steps.
Kind regards,
The Reckon Team

Hi All,
We have resolved the Upgrade issue that was occurring in Reckon Accounts 2016.
All the Reckon Accounts 2016 Full version downloads on the website have been replaced with a new release that no longer has the issue.
The name of the Executable has been changed slightly from ReckonAccounts2016R1.exe to ReckonAccounts2016R101.exe.
To identify whether a client has installed the new release you can click Employees > Tax Table Information and click the Tax Table Info button to display the below window.
We have added an additional line ‘Release 1.01’ to this window in the new version. We are currently working on a ‘patch’ that users will be able to install over the top of the original Reckon Accounts 2016 release; this should be available towards the end of next week.
We’ll be sending an eDM to users and posting on the community etc. over the coming days.
Regards
Neil

Hi everyone,
As outlined above, we have now fixed the issue with Reckon Accounts 2016 (Accounts Plus, Premier and Enterprise). Please uninstall your existing version, and download and install the new version at your earliest convenience to ensure you don't experience the corruption issue. After re-installing the new version, you will be able to add new employees. If this issue did not affect you during the upgrade, you will still need to download and install the new version.
If you have already added employees with the default Super details, then your file may have a corruption issue. You will need to restore a backup from prior to creating the employee and remove the Super details, before re-entering any employee information.
We are currently working on a ‘patch’ that users will be able to install over the top of the original Reckon Accounts 2016 release; this should be available towards the end of next week.
