Reckon Accounts and Accounts Hosted now SuperStream Gold Certified!

Last week the ATO released the latest SuperStream certified product register list and we can now proudly announce that Reckon Accounts and Reckon Accounts Hosted are Gold certified and SuperStream compliant.

We have a number of options available to customers and partners to meet their superannuation obligations including two gateway partnerships and standard SuperStream Alternative File Format (SAFF) sending.

Shortly we plan on releasing SuperStream functionality in Reckon One and will proceed with ATO certification – we will have further details to share with you in the near future including the Reckon One integrated super payments solution.

So the first partnership is with NAB- what about the second?  And where do I find information on how to use the SAFF?

The SuperStream function in Reckon Accounts hasn't changed. Reckon have just completed certification with  Ozedi direct, who are a second solution partner with Reckon.

The SAFF is a generic Super file format, which can be used by any SuperStream gateway  provider. The purpose of this file is to make it easier for employers in meeting their Super obligations.
The file is designed so that a standard set of data requirements are captured and used by any Clearinghouse, Superfund, or Gateway.

ABSIA have provided some further information around the SAFF:

    Cheers
    Reckon.

The SAFF can be used with any SuperStream gateway provider.  The file format is a generic format designed by all Funds and Gateways, to allow you, the employer, to use any service you prefer.

ABSIA have provided some further information around the SAFF:

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers,
    Reckon.

Well, I'll give it a shot with our default Super company, which is asking for a csv file, which I gather the SAFF is.  Looks like I will have to do some manipulation, but we shall see...

A lot of gobbledygook from the Government, but the bottom line seems to be there is no real standard for the data

    Hi Anne,

That is correct, the SAFF produced out of Reckon Accounts is in a .csv format.

My suggestion is that you generate a contribution file, leave it as is and contact your gateway provider. They should be able to use that file without you doing anything else to it. But please check with them.
