Reckon Accounts Business - 1st October Tax Table Update

Hi everyone,

We have now released a new version of Reckon Accounts Business (Desktop) that includes the updated ATO PAYG tax tables.

Log in to the Reckon Members Site now to download and install the updated tax tables, and ensure you remain payroll compliant for the 2016/2017 financial year.


Please note: 
The new tax tables take effect from 1 October 2016.

Ensure you process employee pay for up to and including 30 September 2016 prior to installing this update; otherwise the pay calculations may not be correct.

Rav,  This update is for Australia and not for New Zealand is this correct Danie

Hi Danie,

Yes that is correct, this update is required for AU users to take care of PAYG changes from the Australian Tax Office (ATO) to take effect on October 1.

Hi Lance,

If you click the 'Install Update' button above, it will take you directly to the update after logging in with your Customer ID & PIN

Stupid question.  I got an email about how to upgrade tax tables Premium etc, but we are hosted users. Is hosted automatically updated or do I need to do something?  I would have thought there would be a new version to install.  With Monday a public holiday, and Tuesday my first payroll run in October I need an answer asap, thanks in advance

Hi there. I am using Reckon Accounts Plus 2016. When I try and install the update it says "Setup detects that your Reckon Accounts is R2.01. To use this patch you must be on R2." My tax table does not say that it contains the updated information for October. Any ideas??? Thanks

Thanks for asking.

It may not be a problem.

Please go to Employees > Tax Table Information and click on the Tax Table Info button.  do you see the following:



If you see the last line your ATO TAX Update 1/10/16 is properly installed.

This patch does install quickly, so if you set it off a second time you will get this error message.  .

The Update does not seem to progress after I input my UserID and password. Just goes away, no messages, no download starting???

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled the tax tables update doesn't start when I put in my user ID and password.

I click on the update and it asks for my User ID and Password, which I input. Then the login box disappears but not download/update begins. I am using QuickBooks Pro 2010-11

The latest tax table update outlined above is available to the current version of Reckon Accounts Business only.

You will need to upgrade to the current version of Reckon Account Business.

If you give our Customer Service team a call on 1800 RECKON (1800 732 566) we can go through the upgrade options, functionality and pricing with you.
