Reckon Accounts on Windows Server

I have been using Reckon Accounts Accounting 2014. The software is installed on my workstation however I have installed the data files on my Windows 2003 server as I find it better for backup purposes. It takes about a minute to open a datafile on the workstation. I have a Gigabyte switch.Is there a way of rectifying this? Is it a server processor issue? NB I am about to upgrade to Reckon Accounts Accounting 2016.

    Hi Nathan,

    Welcome to the Reckon Community.

    Single user license editions of Reckon Accounts (EasyStart, Accounting, Plus) are not designed to run on networks.  Premier 2 user (formerly Pro) and Premier 5 user are network editions.  You will consequently experience some degradation of service when you do run these editions on a network.

    To minimise this degradation, make sure you are accessing the server location through a mapped network drive and ensure the user has administrator rights and Full Control to the folder holding the company file.
