Hi Guys.
We currently are running on Reckon Accounts Premier 2018.  I am looking at Reckon Accounts Hosted - just so we can access the file from work and home whenever we need to.

It appears I would need 2 licences so I can work at home and they can use the same file at work at the same time- how much is the 2nd licence? I cannot find this anywhere on the website sorry!

Also, is it basically the exact same between desktop to online?  Just the data is stored online instead?  We can take backups of our online file if we require?

I was looking at Reckon One - but just cannot be bothered comparing this properly as yet - as good as the bank statement imports sound!

Also has anyone used the AutoEntry - Seamless Data Entry?  Is it any good for Accounts Hosted?  Does it work quite well? And how much does it cost (if anyone knows)?

    Hi Alison,
    Welcome to the Reckon Community,

Hosted would be a good solution if you're looking for the benefits of cloud functionality. If you require concurrent users working on the file then yes you will need 2 or more licences, an additional annual licence is $630. There is actually a Hosted offer happening at the moment where you can get 3 months free, check out more info on this here - http://go.reckon.com/accounts-hosted-offer/

Yes, Reckon Accounts Hosted is the equivalent of its desktop equivalent Reckon Accounts Enterprise but with cloud functionality built into it so the look and feel is the by and large, the same. There are a couple of differences in workflow with Hosted, particularly around printing and emailing due to the Hosted system architecture as opposed to a local installation of a desktop product.
You can certainly do backups and this is something we recommend you do regularly.

Have you trialed Reckon Accounts Hosted as yet?

Could you give us a bit more info on your use case for AutoEntry with Hosted? I'll see if I can get more info on this aspect for you.

I haven't trial Hosted yet - it is something I come to renewal time for the past couple of years and question what I should be doing.  Unfortunately haven't had a chance to dabble yet - so emailing and printing are a bit different.  With Auto Entry - currently I use a lot of Items - for each purchase item we purchase from companies - most of our invoices we receive are via email (PDF), so I would be hoping to upload it to Reckon and have it pre-generate the 'bill' as best as it can - assigning accounts etc.
I had been looking into Reckon One as it seems to have quite good Bank downloads.  But the setup may be quite hard because all of our items will have to be re-entered

Our data file is quite large, because of the number of items in it and quotes etc.  Do larger files run better on Accounts Hosted?

Thanks for getting back to me Alison,

Ok, I'll get some info for you regarding AutoEntry from our API guys to see if it would suit what you've described.

In regard to your file size, there are a few things we can check in terms of its size and health. The key things are, how large is the file in terms of size (MB's), its DB file fragments, and list information Press Ctrl+1 and you'll be presented an info screen, if you could screenshot that and post it here it will give us a better idea (use the camera icon in the forum reply box to upload a screenshot).
