Reckon Desktop Extremely Slow When Entering Wages

Reckon Desktop - When entering wages for the last 3 weeks Reckon has been extremely slow.  For each employee when we enter the hours on each line it stops and we have to wait about 30 seconds between each line and then about 45 seconds between each employee.  We used to be able to continually enter and there were no stoppages in between.

I have tried all the things that have been suggested - created a portable file, verify data, rebuild, backup & restore.  None of these have made any difference.

If we change the file to single user it fixes the problem.  Once it is put back into multi user the problem returns.

Has anybody had a similar problem and is there a way to fix it?

    Most users with large files and lots of staff - switch to single user mode to enter payroll ...
    Have you checked the size of your TLG file?  if you do a backup with Verify turned on your TLG file should reset - try that and then see how you go?
