Reckon Hosted: Company File Won't Backup

I've had this problem before, about a month ago. I get a message saying Company File Won't Backup. I've also have had the additional issue of 'passwords being tampered with...'.

For the Password issue I've followed the instructions but the matter continues to occur.

For the Company File Won't backup, I'm concerned that I will lose my data. I've done a Ctrl-1 of the file with results as follows:



Would you please advise what I should be doing when this matter of the not backing up occurs? continue to post messages in the community?

Hi Lee,


We recommend that you first download a copy of your data file to your local computer.

DATA RECOVERY: How to download a company data file (*.QBW) from the Reckon Accounts Hosted platform to your local computer

Keep that copy in case things get worse.


Then try this article which has helped other users with a similarly described problem.

Reckon Accounts is frozen and taking long to backup/Not responding when doing the file backup.

If it still does not work, request a data service and send us a copy of the data file you had downloaded to your local computer.
