Reckon AU Hosted System Upgrade.
Saturday, 9th August 2014

  • From 09:00pm -  09:00 am, Sunday, 10th August (AEST).

From 9:00pm Saturday night (9/08/14), we will be undertaking a major upgrade to our Reckon Accounts Hosted Environment for AU. To ensure NO DATA CORRUPTION we strongly suggest logging out as early as possible prior to the upgrade window.

This upgrade will cause Reckon Accounts Hosted to be unavailable during such time for all AU users – it does NOT AFFECT our NZ users.

We expect to complete this Upgrade by 9am Sunday 10th August 2014 . Once the upgrade  is complete you will be able to log in your products as instructed through your emails. .

Please follow this Community thread should you like further updates including notification of Upgrade completion.

We apologise if any inconvenience is caused and thank you for your patience and understanding.

I am trying to log on to the new system and I keep getting "Failed to open connection to server using gateway"  Can you help?

If this does not do the trick, please try an alternate browser. As a last means it might be worthwhile contacting tech support.

I hope you guys have you tested this Mirko, just tried to login to two seperate users and got a "Bad Request" message and it wont connect.  Hope this is not the case for the hundreds of people I know using this software....  Ken White

Hey Ken, Hosted is definitely up and running. If you are using IE please see: this thread. You may also wish to try an alternate browser.

Hi, I am getting error messages 6150 and 1006. cannot open any company files. Have tried different browsers and restarting... no luck... any suggestions?

Hi Jacqui,

6150 error code usually means the file you tried to open is not a company file.  Make sure it has a red icon next to it.  If the problem persists give tech support a call on 1300 799 150.

Hi Viking,

You can try logging out and logging back in, but if that error code persists you will need to give tech support a call on 1300 799 150.  They will be able to help or escalate the issue to get it fixed if needed.

Just tried to log in, the following message was shown: 'Gateway: Unable to connect to host'

Hi Chris,

Try different browsers, the ones that are compatible are Internet Explorer 10 and 11, the latest versions of Google Chrome and Firefox.  If one doesn't work try another.  Firefox and Chrome are free downloads.  Try rebooting the PC.  If the issue persists call tech support on 1300 799 150.

Hosted system very slow after upgrade and unable to run the simplified bas report, report starts to generate (progress bar get to 41 seconds ) but  just vanishes off screen. Tries logging out and back in but still broken

I've just tried logging in, needed to change my password, which is fine. But on upgrading my file so I could open it in the new environment I have found that two months of my data is missing! The last date I have for a banking transaction is dated in the first week of June. What could have caused me to lose that amount of transactions?

HI there, we have been able to log in, but all of our data is missing. there are no company files and there are none of our online backups. is this data still migrating or has it all disappeared.

Can anyone shed some light on this issue, have had to close my doors, costing me every minute, cannot invoice.. do they understand we are all stressed to the max this is our livelihood.  cannot get through on the support line..... 2 hours waiting...... Please reckon what is going on give us the decency of an answer!!!! It is not recognising my username or password. Logged on yesterday morning ok. Please  the courtesy of an update. Anyone got a good lawyer.

Hi there everyone, i thought that my data was missing, its just in a different file... i am not sure why Reckon haven't told us this. ALL of your files will be located in the q drive under in a file that has a shortcut file the file type. double click on one of those that is dated 11/08/2014 and then click on the RED (reckon looking) icon.QBW file this will restore your data.

PS i use Safari on a MAC and it took me about 7-8 attempts to log in... but once in its all there. this isn't an upgrade to our experience, its not even an improvement on the user interface... all it means now is that we don't have to run CITRIX... who actually Gives a ... XERO is looking better each day.

I dont know how Reckon are still operating or why I am still using them, when I started with Hosted and encountered numerous problems and in fact 2.5 days of non productiveness due to these issues, i threatened to find another accounting service - but i persevered.  NOW once again I find myself in the same situation just a few short weeks later!!!  I should have listened to my instinct and leave Reckon.  
I may as well go home as there is nothing I can do...... what a shame REckon doesn't pay my staff to do nothing!
