Remove all data sent to ATO with free STP app

I need to delete everything that has been done with STP app and also remove all data that has been sent to ATO. I am not continuing using the free STP app anymore as support is too difficult and am now reporting through the paid Reckon software.

I have doubled up my reports sent to ATO as the STP free app had incorrect numbers and I reported each pay again within Reckon payroll software. I can see them doubled up in both the Business Portal and also the individual employees ATO login.

I have requested support here which is never responded to, have rang Reckon and also ATO and i am lost and keep getting sent back here.

The problem now is due to errors from submissions, I now cannot make any adjustments with negative amounts as YTD figures on employee shown within the free app now are zero.

I need someone here to zero off everything that the free app has sent to ATO.

My ABN is 29 145 356 458.

Please help as i cannot get resolved and I want to put this free app behind me so I can continue on using the paid version with Reckon.

Un-reporting stuff that you’ve reported to the ATO!? Priceless.
Best of luck sorting that out...

Keeping the end in mind, remember your one mission is to get the figures looking right in the ATO’s records. However messy that looks in your STP software/s.

You’ve probably already embarked on this approach, sorry, not sure from your post, but sounds like best chance is to submit adjustments via your new improved software to reverse out the troublesome submissions made through the old software. As distinct from ”deleting” stuff from the old app ... that’s not really a thing,

Should at least get more easily accessible support now with a paid software service.

STP reporting is fun (said no-one ever).

Yes, I have requested multiple times on this support page to make adjustments. The problem is with this free app, you can only make negative adjustments if the YTD figures of the employee are greater than zero within the app. The YTD figures on the free app are not necessarily what has been reported as they include adjustment errors rejected by ATO.

There poses the problem as I made an adjustment of a negative figure of the YTD figures and submitted it, but was rejected by the ATO which did not effect the ATO reported figures but set the YTD figures back to zero within the app, preventing from anymore negative adjustments.

I have made numerous requests and replies to my other threads in regards to this with no response. I have found you get what you pay for with support and a free app. I have rang Reckon support and ATO and keep getting sent back to this forum as the only support to fix this, but my questions continue to go unanswered. I cannot get a fix and even the lady at the ATO said they have had so much bad feedback regarding Reckon STP products when I explained how the support works for this.

Anyway, the more comments I write about it, will defend my case when I explain at the end of the year to the ATO that i did everything I could to fix it if Reckon don't respond like they have been.

Hi Cale,
I suppose the employee has two myGov income statements. One is created by the free app, the other created by the paid software. The one created by the free app is incorrect.
If the incorrect income statement has not been marked ‘tax ready’, it would not be used in tax return. It is harmless. So you do not have to change the incorrect incorrect income statement.
I have seen people switched STP reporting software.

Hi Joseph,

I am both the employer and the employee (company with sole director), so you are right, I can see two income statements in the employee portal for similar amounts. One being correct and the incorrect one matching up with the BMS ID of the free app.

I just need to be able to adjust the free app to be zero, but you can only do this if the employee YTD figures within the app are greater than the negative amount you want to submit. The employee YTD figures within the app are calculated off all submissions to the ATO, rejections from ATO included.

I already had a rejection on an adjustment to ATO for the whole YTD amount, so now within the app shows employee YTD figures as zero and this pay event has not been received by the ATO and can still see the whole amount shown within the employees income statement against that BMS ID.

When I spoke to ATO they advised it should be fixed by the software provider as have doubled up. Neither are tax ready at this point and I assume they only become tax ready if I submit a final pay run for the financial year.

The free app cannot do a ‘full file replacement’.

A full file replacement may not be required, but at least an adjustment to zero for the figures reported to ATO is required at a minimum and with the bugs in the app, I am unable to do this now due to the rejected submission sent to ATO making YTD figures within the app zero preventing from any adjustments with negative amounts.

Still no help on this? This is my only way to contact support and always gets ignored. I bump messages, write new threads and what ever I do, the one support guy on here does not answer.

Hi Cale,
Sorry but let me try and piece this together. You're saying you cannot create any further negative adjustments in the app, correct? What is happening specifically when you attempt to do so.

The problem now is due to errors from submissions, I now cannot make any adjustments with negative amounts as YTD figures on employee shown within the free app now are zero.
What error response did you receive specifically for these submissions?

The error came about as when I put the negative amount in salary for the total YTD figures, the app put this amount back to zero before I submitted it to ATO, so only negative super and PAYG was sent and it came back as an error from ATO.

I tried to adjust the error to send back the salary only as a total negative figure and it came back as an error again.

Now as the YTD figures in the app are all zero, you cannot make any negative adjustments which is what I need to do to have the ATO reading the total amount as zero from this software ID.

No adjustments have reached the ATO

Bumping this again. As answered your question straight away, then no reply again.
