reports taking a long time to run

When running  Budget Reports and tax reports is takes reckon a long time to to run the reports anything from two minutes upwards and some of the files aren't that big.... what can I do to reduce the running time ( I am on ADSL2)

    this particular one is a new file, and I have done a verify and rebuild. This doesn't make any difference

    Are you running your reports on a Cash Basis. If you are then they will take a long time to run.  If you run the reports an an Accrual Basis they will be much quicker to run.
