Running payroll through the payroll clearing account instead of the bank - Reckon Accounts hosted

Morning I have a client who uses Reckon Accounts Hosted, we are setting up payroll for him. I would like to run payroll through the payroll clearing account and not the bank account. He does the pays himself. Is there a way that I can do it

Hi Trish


You can create a Clearing Bank account & set this as the automatic “Default” account for paying Payroll from:

  • Go to the Company File Preferences (Edit along top toolbar > Preferences in dropdown Menu)
  • Select Banking in LHS List
  • On the “Company Preferences” tab, tick “Open the Enter Payroll Info” & select your Clearing Bank account
  • Can also select default accounts for paying Payroll Liabilities & (on the “My Preferences” tab) Writing Chqs, Paying Bills, Paying Taxes & Making Deposits :)
