Salary Packaging and STP

I am having an error getting our file to be approved in the Govconnect portal.  We are a not for profit organisation and our employees have salary packaging.  We are exempt for FBT.  We do a fortnightly payroll and salary packaging is deducted from their pay in every pay run then paid by the salary packaging company to the employee.  I am getting the following error message for a number of employees (I have redacted the name of our payroll item to uphold confidentiality) ... 

The value specified for an item does not match the item type (value = "Salary Package - .........", item type = String, uniqueID = http://www.sbr.gov.au/ato/payevntemp:TypeC) Hint: The Enumeration constraint failed

I am assuming it is an error in the way our payroll item is set up in Reckon.  We use Reckon Desktop.  Any ideas ??

    Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.  

    I don't really understand the error you are getting and I note the link provided is no longer active.

    Does your situation fall within the bounds outlined in the article:  Invalid Deduction Payroll Type when I lodge my STP File

    Thanks John Yes, the link from the ATO was inactive when I first received the notification. I’m not at work today and can’t test the workaround in the KB link you provided. I think it will help, it is where I think the issue is generating from. Fingers crossed for Monday when I try the solution! Emma
