I am trying to process a pay for an employee who salary sacrifices some of their pay and is taking 3 weeks annual leave. (I will be paying 1 current week plus 3 weeks leave, so 4 pay periods) The program is only taking out the salary sacrifice amount for 1 week. How do I make it take out 4 weeks of salary sacrifice? We have Payroll Premier 2017/2018.

Probably the best way is to see it as 3 separate weeks

Thanks Charles, however I cannot do that because the employee is being paid this financial year and so I need to have it all done in one pay (for 4 pay periods) now. Doing them as separate weeks will put them over to the next financial year.

    Hi Kandy,

I would just change the Salary sacrifice amount to what it would be for four weeks.  e.g. if the person SS and amount of 100/pay  change it to be $400 for that pay only.

    Hello Kandy,

Did you indicate that this pay was for more than one Pay Period?

My test successfully paid 100% Salary Sacrifice Super to the Annual Leave:

    Hope this helps?

Hi Chris thanks, I’ve just tried it and it hasn’t worked. Logically it should... what am I missing?  I went in and changed the salary sacrifice amount to the whole amount for 4 weeks and then went in and edited the pay putting the hours etc in again but it came up still with only 1 week. Unlike the tax figure, you cannot go in and alter it. Any other thoughts?

    Hi John

Thank you, however I only want to salary sacrifice a part of the employees pay not the whole lot. It is 4 weeks pay so I put 4.00 in the pay period box. I've changed the salary sacrifice amount in the employee's details to the amount needed just for this pay and it didn't work. This is very frustrating. Usually in this situation I do each week separately but I can't this time as this 4 week pay has to fall in this financial year and the employee should be paid prior to going on holidays next week.

    I've got it!
I manually changed the salary sacrifice to the correct amount by clicking on the Super tab (next to Commission/Bonus tab) which opens to display the super and salary sacrifice amounts and allows you to make changes. See below.
Thank you Charles, Chris & John for your replies.

If you do 4 pays with the proper pay periods then all that has to be done is make sure the 'date paid' is the same. Then all pays are paid in this financial year

Awesome Kandy, that was what I was trying to tell you to do.  I obviously didn't explain it well enough.  At least you have it correct day.  Have a good day!

    Cheers

    Chris

Hi Chris - yes my mistake was going into the Employees record to change the super amount there, thanks K
