sales receipt not appearing on deposit window

I posted 3 sales receipts with a date of 6th June & one mistakenly with 6th of May - realised my mistake & changed the date to 6th June. When I went into record deposits from undeposited funds only the 3 original receipts were there. It wont let me delete the sales receipt & start again saying I must delete it from the deposit first - but it isn't there to delete. I am viewing all payment types . How do I fix this? I have tried running a rebuild but that doesn't fix it. Just noticed there was also a received payment which should also have been on the 6th June but I posted with the 6th May. The invoice shows up as paid but the payment doesn't appear either on the record deposits screen - can't delete that either - it comes up with the same message - delete it from the deposit first

    Hi Lisa,

Before I respond, can you tell me whether you have reconciled the bank account containing the deposit transaction?

    Hi ya Lisa,

I would also start by checking a setting in edit/preferences/sales & Customers/ Company Preferences

In your Sales Receipts window down the bottom, do you have the option to change where the money is deposited to?  Some have default to undeposited Funds but some have the option to bank it directly to a bank account is it possible that the 'missing amount' has been directly deposited to a bank account?

Also.... on the sales receipt that you 'cannot delete' try clicking the history button to find which deposit it has been associated with...

    Hope this helps...

It is a bit hard with out looking directly at your file, it is also pays to be mindful if deleting a transaction ..... it might already be reconciled on the bank statement.

    cheers
